Each day we have a great selection of activities lined up for your little foodies to come along and enjoy. Simply grab a Family Festival Wristband and you can come and go as you please.

Your wristband also gives you access to the great selection of timed events we have going on over the two days

Printing Shopping Bags

Get ready to have some fun with Felltarn Friends and Westmorland Shopping Centre creating your very own veggie-stamp canvas bags using celery, potatoes, broccoli and lots more! Keep it for yourself or perhaps give it as a present for Easter

Map Your Meal

Meet Zogg, Thea and Lily, three new friends who will take you on a journey of discovery. Travel around the world to find out where the food you eat comes from, through storytelling, creative activities and ice-cream tasting! Suitable for families with children aged between 5-8.

Run by Katie Carr, Cumbria Development Education Centre, as part of their ‘Map Your Meal’ project.

Sculpting with Ice Cream

Victorians loved to create sculptures out of ice cream! Discover how chefs made ice cream hundreds of years before freezers were invented and find out what tools they used to create spectacular frozen food art! Then have a go at mashing and molding a dessert in play-doh!

Create a Cress Head

Create your own cress head character. What will you want to turn yours into? An animal, your mum or dad, an alien? You decide, and you get to take it home and grow and eat its hair!

Foodie Fun with Pyjama Drama

How strong is your stomach? Do you dare enter the bush tucker trial? If that’s not for you then perhaps food bingo or creative colouring is more your style. Plus ‘Greedy Gary’ will need feeding, he’ll eat anything really, you just have to have a good aim! Pop along and test your skills at a host of different fun activities.
