Kendal Festival of Food takes place in the heart of Kendal.
Kendal is easily accessible by road and rail networks. The town centre has extensive car parking, as well as a dedicated bus station offering a range of local and National Express services. Oxenholme train station, located on the West Coast mainline, is only 2 miles south east of the town and provides direct links to London Euston, Lancaster, Manchester, Manchester Airport, Penrith, Carlisle, Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as local connections into the Lake District National Park.
Kendal is a vibrant market town situated on the edge of the stunning Lake District National Park offering visitors lots to see and do. The majority of the Food Festival venues are within easy walking distance of the town centre which is only 15 minutes from Junction 36 of the M6 Motorway and sits on the A6 and A591 roads.

The Lakes Line connects to Kendal railway station which is within easy walking distance of the town centre or there are taxis and regular buses from Oxenholme railway station too.
