Hosted by AGA, Kendal Festival of Food invites you to join the battle of the bakers! If you’re passionate about baking we challenge you don your finest apron, select your best tried and tested recipe and take to the kitchen!
The Festival Bring a Bake competition gives you the chance to showcase your skills in a static display and entering the 2016 competition couldn’t be simpler…
STEP 1: Choose from the categories below (you can enter as many as you like)
STEP 2: Download and complete the 2016 Entry Form or collect from AGA Kendal.
STEP 2: Get Baking
STEP 3: Bring your yummy creation(s) to the AGA Showroom, Stramongate between 8-10am on Saturday 12 March
STEP 4: Pop back at 3pm to hear the winners announced!
STEP 5: Devour your scrummy creations…or what’s left of them after our greedy judges have ‘sampled’!
Winners in each category will walk away with £50 worth of AGA Vouchers!
Here are the six categories to choose from:
Open to all
Biscuits – 6 of, sweet or savoury, any flavour, any type.
Fruit cake – any type, max. 8” square, 9” round.
A chocolate creation – anything involving chocolate! The gooey-er, the chocolatey-er, the bett-er.
Loaf of handmade bread (NOT rolls) – any flavour, any type. To be freeform/hand shaped, not baked in a loaf tin.
“Spring” themed Showstopper Cake – let your imagination run riot! Any cake, any flavour, any format but with a “spring” theme. Go on, give us something interesting to look at!
For AGA Users
Aga Novice Bake – any cake (except NO Lemon Drizzle Cakes!). Class open to anyone who has become an Aga owner within the last 12 months.
Entry is free but this year the Bring a Bake competition will support Manna House and we would welcome any donations you may like to make (either non-perishable foods or monetary donations).
